The Inspiration: Hope for the future
A collection designed at the height of quarantine, Spring 2021 was designed with a hopefulness for the future. That hopefulness inspired the energetic, vibrant mood of the collection. By placing an elevated importance on comfort and casual dressing, while maintaining our commitment to color and artful prints, the collection is a joyful interpretation of how women can bring feminine function to their new reality.
The season is a reflection of our current culture and the changing lifestyle of our women. Classic silhouettes are refreshed through energetic colors, voluminous details and botanical prints in vibrant shades of marigold and fuchsia. Solid poplins rendered in crisp white with dramatic sleeves and pastel washed denim dresses give a new approach to simplicity. Wearability, versatility and functionality are balanced with energetic colors and confident silhouettes.
Casualization comes through in fabrication, thoughtful details and easy silhouettes. Printed dresses in water-colored poppies are given shorter hemlines and smocked backs, striped shirting is reimagined in hand-painted breezy cotton voile, and hibiscus floral cargo pants are remade in soft stretch linen. The collection is expressive of the unpredictability of the moment, letting go of the polish, and feeling free.
